MISSION
McGee Francis English was created to fulfill a passion of language and helping others. Our goal is to empower our clients with the gift of the English language and the confidence they need when speaking, listening, reading and writing.
McGee Francis English founder, Kendall Fawcett, was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. From a young age, she possessed a deep curiosity of linguistics and world cultures, but her journey to teaching was far from intentional.
With the goal of becoming an international business woman, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts to study at Bentley University. In an effort to earn extra credit, she signed up to volunteer and was randomly assigned to an ESL program. It was there that she discovered her true passion: teaching.
She spent the next four years dedicating herself to growing the English Language Learning program at a local shelter for immigrants and refugees. In addition to her undergraduate degree, she completed her CELTA through the University of Cambridge.
After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Global Studies, with a concentration in cross-cultural understanding, Kendall went on to work for multiple global advertising agencies while tutoring as a side-hustle.
During the pandemic, Kendall made the big decision to leave corporate America to pursue tutoring and consulting full time. Since then, she has helped dozens of students and small-business owners increase their confidence with the English language.
When she is not teaching and studying other foreign languages, Kendall is likely planning her next trip to Italy or other foreign country. In addition to English, she is fluent in Italian and proficient in French and Spanish.
